another good day

We have had a few good days around here, we have been playing alot, getting alot of cleaning done and I have even managed to pack up some more small clothes from the kids...it is amazing how fast that stuff accumulates. I think I am up to about 10 boxes of clothes that the kids have outgrown and some of that I am sad to say they never even had a chance to wear!!!

Today, I rearranged Wyatts room a bit today to accomodate all of the toys they have recieved in the last few months! He seemed to like it and well both the kids helped me switch things up...so it took me a bit longer but atleast they were helping!

Then in the afternoon, I went to my moms house and that was a pleasant visit, I was able to see my sisters, mom, and neice and nephews. The kids all had a great time and they played until we left at 9pm!!!

It has been such a great day and heres to hoping that they will sleep well tonight!!!

Out and about today...

So today we met a friend of mine up at our local Walmart store...I needed to pick up some diapers, pop and milk, along with a few sewing supplies. Well within about 20 minutes, we made it to McDonalds where we all had a bite to eat and then we continued shopping. The kids were amazing. Near the end of the outting they were beginning to get a little bit fussy, but to be expected since we were heading into nap time.

On the way home both Kaylee and Wyatt fell asleep, and it only takes me about 10 minutes or so to get home from walmart. I was able to get them into the house quickly, but not fast enough for themto remain sleeping. Kaylee was fed and put in her crib, I am hoping that she will go back to sleep but as things are right now she is busy singing/talking/playing away in her crib. Wyatt ate and was asleep with in minutes! I am hoping to get at least another hour break...but not too sure my sweet daughter will allow this...we will see!

continual teething!

So lately it seems the most common phrase said is...ugh, this darn teething! Both Kaylee and Wyatt are continually teething it seems. Just before Christmas Wyatt was working on 8 teeth at once, they would come up a bit and then go back down, Finally 4 of them came in, and we are still waiting for some more of his molars to come through. Over all he is dealing with things rather well, just a bit more fussy at times. He is great at taking tylenol for the pain when needed...he thinks taking stuff from a medicine dropper is the best, he actually gets excited!!!

Kaylee is working on some top and bottom molars, she has not been to bad either, well during the day anyways..night time is another story for her...she has been waking up screaming and it has been taking me upto 2 hours to get her back to sleep. We have tried letting herself cry herself back to sleep, but has not been too successful for us. I am looking forward to when the teething is finished.

We went to an indoor playground the other day with one of my friends and her two little ones, and Kaylee and Wyatt had so much fun, there were mats to play on, slides, little play houses, there were even exersaucers for younger babies! They both had such a great time, they played for 2 hours and no fussing at all (well only when they needed a diaper change!). I will be visiting this place regularily, i am planning for at least once a week!

That is it for now as Wyatt is awake again :( those darn teeth. It is time to give him some tylenol...he has had none all day and I was hoping to keep it that way, but my little man needs some sleep...and mommy too!!

Will update soon!!

We are back!

Well it has been about 2 months or even longer since I have posted on the blog! I am having a terrible track record with this!!

Kaylee and Wyatt are now 15 months old. They are both walking, running, climbing, finding all kinds of trouble to get into!

Kaylee is really improving her vocabulary! She is also beginning to make animals sounds and gosh darn is it so cute!!

Wyatt says a few words, but his sister is definately the one with the goft of the gab!!

We made it through Christmas and survived! This is such a busy time of year, with so much family there are many outting that are done. The kids got spoiled for Christmas, and seemed to love every minute of it!!! At first they were not to sure about the opening of presents, but after a couple they got the hang of it...then it bacame impossible to keep them entertained in opening the gifts, they wanted to play!!!

Kayne and I bought them each their own little arm chair for Christmas and they love them. I am so happy that we decided on this, they are getting so much use out of them. Then Kaylee also got some new babies that she adores, clothing and books. Wyatt was a happy camper with all of his new cars, and he also received some new clothes, and books. They both recieved other toys and items as well. There was so much for them to choose from that they were getting really fussy and overwhelmed with what to play with, so to fix that issue, I put a binch of stuff away and rotate the toys they play with. This way it seems to help them focus and they always have a new selection to choose from!

For Christmas, we made most of our gifts. I made reversible placemats with embroidery and matching table runners for several people and then I made 1st year collages for many people as well. It took alot of time to get it all done...worked on everything for about 2 months, but it was well worth it, everybody loved the gifts!!!

I am in the middle of getting some things up and running now...cake business and sewing business, so I will try more effectively to update this blog. I am thinking that I will be more consistent as I am setting up a couple of more blogs that will need to be updated regularily so I will do them all at the same time :)

Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and a Great New Year! We hope that 2009 is a great year for everyone!!!!

Will it ever end????

Well,in our house we are still battling this horrible cold. On Tuesday, I took Wyatt to the doctors as I was beginning to get concerned that his low grade fever was not going away and that the chest congestion was getting worse. Well, the doctor says that it is just a cold and should be cleared up in 10-14 days.

Just when I think that things are getting better...poof, Wyatt almost has a relapse of his cold...he was getting better and then it was like he was a few days ago. Kayne has been the same. He was beginning to feel alot better and then poof, he came home from work saying he was feeling terrible and the next day he came home from work early and has been sick ever since! Then there is our little lady! She had been so good through everything, and best of all she was not sick...Well, the poor little girl is now so sick. The same thing that Wyatt has, stuffy/runny nose, cough and chest congestion. Night times are the worst right now. Kaylee will start out in her bed, but that does not last too long, she ends up on the couch where she is proped right up and able to breath. At this point I am trying everything I can to ensure that everyone gets as much sleep as possible!

I really hope that this cold leaves soon...I guess I should expect another 2 weeks of this...yuck! At least, it is just a cold....it could definately be so much worse!

ugh, this darn cold!!

For the last few days all of us have been sick. Kayne had a terrible head cold, and a really nasty cough. I had the head cold, chest congestion, and for one day had a terrible bout of the flu...I was so sick! Kaylee has been having a bit of a runny nose and then Wyatt, our poor little man. He is now the worst of us all. He has a terrible congested nose, a horrible cough and just looks so pale. Lately, he has not been eating very much. He can get to sleep, but his darn cough wakes him up...ahhh, this darn cold.

With all of us being sick, we have all had a couple of days of sleeping in. The kids have been getting up at 930am!!! What a treat that has been for me, although in all fairness, it is probably because we are up alot during the night.

On top of dealing with the colds, we have also been having some added side effects from the 1 year immunizations, and teething...Kaylee has a tooth that is getting ready to come through the gum anytime now!

Despite all the blah feelings, we have been at home playing around as much as can and taking breaks. Wyatt and Kaylee are becoming little masters at putting mega blocks together. And Wyatt is developing quite the arm...from throwing the blocks too!

The kitchen is still a huge success, along with all of the little food items that we have. The Mrs. Potts teapot is a hot item...they both love to take the lis off and put it back on...I am amazed at how fast their co-ordination is improving!

Wyatt is walking more and more, he is learning to turn around and keep going. If he is tired, he looks like he has no balance at all. Kaylee is walking more and more when holding on to your fingers. She still has only taken about 4 steps by herself. But when she is ready, I think she will skip the walking and go right to running :)

I hope that this upcoming week, things will be a bit better health wise!

We made it!

Today, Kaylee and Wyatt had their 1 year immunization shots and flu shots. They each got 4 needles, 1 in each arm and 1 in each leg. Overall, they were really good throughout it all. We had more issues before the shots. Wyatt was playing and took a nose dive...literally. He was screaming and I realized that he had a bloody nose. So here I am in the bathroom with one screaming baby cuz he is hurt and another one because her brother is crying. It was a rocky start, but Wyatt is ok, the bleeding stopped and the only signs of his nose dive is a bit of a bruise on his forehead!

When we arrived home, both of them had a bit ofa nap and woke up in relatively good moods. They had lasagne for dinner and loved it, then lots of play time after dinner. They visited with grandma and grandpa for a bit (kaynes parents) then off to bed at 8pm.

I hope that they sleep well and feel better tomorrow!
